Ecuador Adventure has evolved its Galapagos and adventure travel experience with a philosophy that offers, not only traditional
boat-based naturalist and
diving tours, but the best available selection of land (hotel) based adventure tours in the Islands. Our team’s vast experience on the Islands and in the adventure industry has prompted the creation of unique travel options that reach areas not explored by traditional boat-based tours, but also contribute to the local communities who provide and array of logistical services to our guests. Whether you are kayaking, relaxing in your hotel, navigating across from island to island, or strolling town in search for a good meal, you are contributing to the local population. During times when increased social and political pressures threaten the conservation of the Islands, land based tours provide a viable and sustainable alternative for the development of Island’s inhabitants.

How
to choose a Galapagos boat?
All the
boats and
cruise ships on offer here feature fixed itineraries, set and controlled by the
Galapagos National Park administration. Cruises from four to eight days are the most common, although longer cruises are certainly available.
Usually a 4 day cruise will cover the Southern Islands.
A 5 day itinerary will include a mixture of Southern and Central islands.
An 8 day cruise will offer the possibility to reach the east side of the Galapagos, visiting the west side of Isabela Island, featuring some of the most beautiful and tranquil destinations in the Galapagos, plus Fernandina Island, the most spectacular and westernmost island in the Galapagos.
With so much to see, we highly recommend a cruise for at least 8 days and 7 nights (if not more) in order to fully explore these magnificent islands, home to unique species found nowhere else on earth. After all, Charles Darwin spent five weeks here when he visited in 1836!
Cruises of 4 days and 5 nights are a good option if you are under time or money constraints, but these trips inevitably exclude some of the wonders of the Galapagos. This is especially true given the fact that some species are found only on certain Islands.
