If you´ve never scuba dived before, and you have always wanted to learn how to scuba dive, there´s no better place than in the Galapagos Islands waters. Considered one of the most fascinating underwater locations on Earth, your experience will be spectacular!
Get your PADI Open Water Diving Certification in just four days, while doing your practice dives at some of the most incredible sites in the world. Our expert Galapagos Diving guides will fix the perfect Itinerary according to your personal needs and expectations. In case you fall in love with scuba diving (which you surely will), we´ll give you a PADI certificate of international participation, which will count as credit if you choose to later become Open Water Dive certified.
When you are not diving or studying, you can relax, swim, and snorkel on a number of San Cristobal’s gorgeous and conveniently located beaches. In the evenings, you will retire to the first-class waterfront Galapagos hotel, Casa Opuntia.
DAY1: Arrival to San Cristobal – Diving academic Class
After you arrive at San Cristobal Island, transfer to Hotel Casa Opuntia for check-in and lunch. In the afternoon, you will have a tutorial class about diving including interesting videos. (L, D)
Day 2: San Cristobal – Pool Practice – First Sea Immersion
Spend a sunny morning learning to use the Diving equipment in the pool. After lunch, you will experience the real thing! Today, you will have the first immersion in the Galapagos Waters. (B, L, D)
Day 3: San Cristobal – four Immersions and Final Exam!
After a healthy breakfast, we take a fast boat to open waters for three immersions. We enjoy box lunch on board while selling to different location for our last Galapagos dive!
With all the theoretical and practical knowledge on your mind, you are ready to take your final exam and earn your PADI Diving license.
Day 4: Transfer Out
We say goodbye to the Galapagos Islands and transfer to the airport for our return flight to the mainland. (B)

KEY FACTS AND INFORMATION
SEASON: All year. December – May: sunny, warm, calm seas, better visibility, a bit less marine life.
July – October: cloudy, cooler, often choppy seas, worse visibility, more marine life.
June and November: transitional periods.
WATER TEMPERATURE: The waters of the Galapagos Islands are a unique mixture of warm and cold water, ranging between 61ºF and 75ºF (16 – 24º C).
VISIBILITY: It Usually ranges between 16 and 85 feet (5 – 25 m), but most often is between 40 and 60 feet (12 – 18 m).
AVERAGE AIR TEMPERATURES: December to May: 80º F to 90ºF / 25º C to 30ºC. June to September: 60º F to 70º F / 15ºC to 20º C. October to December: 70º F to 80ºF / 15ºC to 25ºC.
